Kent/Middlesex frustrated by the weather at Canterbury

Kent and Middlesex, in their four-day joint friendly against Durham on Monday 22nd May, were frustrated by the weather as play was only possible on the second day and the match was abandoned as a draw.

On the only day where there was play they won the toss and batted. This day was dominated by Neil Dexter with 188, supported by David Nash with 82 and Matthew Dennington with 31. Neil Dexter and David Nash put on 192 for the third wicket. Kent and Middlesex declared at 355-9 from 87.1 overs with Ben Harmison 2-75 and Moneeb Iqbal 3-30 doing the damage for Durham. In the 22 overs before the close Durham reached 87-3.
